Cogent Communications in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced B2B sales professional to identify and close new business opportunities in IP Transit and wholesale markets. You will hunt, qualify leads, and present connectivity solutions using the company's global network.

This in‑office role offers a base salary with uncapped commissions, comprehensive benefits, and strong earning potential based on performance and tenure.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of solid B2B sales experience in telecom, with collocation, wholesale, and data transit experience.
• Proven track record of hunting new business and meeting quotas.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed regional sales territory and global markets.
• Qualify and generate opportunities via direct calling, email, and meetings with Key Decision Makers.
• Supplement prospecting with onsite client meetings and consultative selling of connectivity solutions.
• Position Cogent services to customers leveraging the global network footprint.
