Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking a mechanically minded Technical Support Engineer to join our Danboro, PA team. You will provide expert guidance on PEM products and fastening solutions, diagnose application issues, and propose optimized answers for customers worldwide.

Work with Application Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to resolve complex challenges and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a problem-solving mindset and growth mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on PEM products and fastening solutions via phone, email, web inquiries, and live chat.
• Analyze customer applications to diagnose root causes and propose optimized solutions.
• Address inquiries on materials, plating, Mil-Specs, thread locking, and other technical standards.
• Support product application troubleshooting for global customers, distributors, and engineering reps.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to solve complex challenges.
• Assist with product costing, custom designs, and tooling recommendations.
• Conduct failure analysis and support investigations of customer complaints and returns.
• Collaborate with labs for testing, sample installations, and reporting.
• Create and maintain technical docs, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
