Job summary

PennEngineering, founded in 1942, is a global leader in fastening and engineered solutions. The Assembly Technician will assemble hydraulics and mechanical components for installation into industrial machinery per prints, maintaining high workmanship standards and documenting test results.

You will read engineering drawings, perform measurements, and use hand and power tools to complete sub‑assemblies. The role is full-time, on-site, with routine shifts and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulics and mechanical components per print specifications.
• Execute test procedures and complete quality documentation.
• Maintain parts inventory and prepare materials for assembly.
• Inspect finished assemblies and verify against specifications.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolve assembly issues to meet standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling hydraulics and mechanical components for installation into industrial machinery accurately to the print specifications and with a high level of workmanship. The technician will also execute all test procedures and complete quality documentation as needed for new and repair assemblies.

• Assembles machines and sub-assemblies based on the engineering specification, following all work instructions
• Prepares work to be accomplished by assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Verifies specifications by inspecting/measuring completed component as a part of the pre-assembly check
• Resolves assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying team lead to obtain additional resources
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notify team lead for placing and expediting orders for supplies
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms neatly
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Assemble main and sub assembly in a timely manner to ensure it passes final test protocol as per quality documents
• Other duties as necessary

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Able to sit or stand for 8 - 10 hours a day
• High School Diploma or GED
• Manufacturing Experience, extra emphasis on hydraulic assembly
• Skilled with mechanics, hand, and power tool operations
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math
• Ability to read engineering prints and work instructions
• Safety & Quality Focus
• Basic computer and office 365 knowledge
• Solid judgment and decision making
• Full time position
• Must be able to work Monday – Friday 6:00AM – 4:30PM (10 hours)
• Overtime as needed
