Job summary

HOYA Electronics is seeking an Associate Account Manager to support day-to-day management of customer accounts, drive sales growth, and strengthen long-term relationships. You will own key account processes such as sales forecasting, reporting, pipeline tracking, quotation coordination, and revenue planning, working with engineering, production, and global teams in Japan and Singapore.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 3 years in sales or account management, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, or a related customer-facing role.
• Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
• Able to work in an on-site/hybrid environment in the Bay Area.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support management of assigned customer accounts and serve as a primary and/or secondary point of contact.
• Partner with internal teams including engineering, production, and overseas teams in Japan and Singapore to support customer requirements and resolve issues.
• Assist with execution of sales strategies to support revenue growth and customer retention goals.
• Monitor sales activity and prepare regular reports, including weekly updates, forecasts, and monthly presentations.
• Identify and follow up on new business opportunities and customer leads.
• Coordinate with factory teams on quotation requests, pricing, and proposal preparation.
• Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and industry events with guidance from senior team members.
• Build product and industry knowledge to effectively support customer discussions and technical inquiries.
• Maintain accurate customer records, communication logs, and pipeline updates in internal systems alongside quarterly inventory counts at warehouses
• Collaborate effectively across global teams and participate in meetings across multiple time zones as needed.
• Own and execute revenue targets for assigned accounts
