Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York seeks an Executive Director, Technology External Communications to shape the firm’s technology storytelling for media, policymakers, clients and employees. You will translate complex technology work into clear, differentiated narratives and lead external communications across AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, and infrastructure resilience.

You will advise senior technology executives, partner with Global Technology leaders and other teams, guide crisis and issues

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in technology communications, public relations, corporate communications, public affairs, or a related field.
• Experience working with technology company or technology clients through an agency, consulting, or corporate communications role.
• Proven leader of high-profile media relations programs and securing earned media impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategies that advance JPMorganChase's reputation in technology, AI, cybersecurity, and related areas.
• Analyze communications performance and sentiment to refine strategy and maximize impact.
• Lead integrated campaigns across earned media, executive communications, thought leadership, social media, owned channels, and events.
• Advise senior technology executives on messaging, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management including social media.
• Oversee proactive and reactive media engagement, including crisis and issues management.
• Set priorities, operating rhythms, and performance expectations for the technology communications team.
