Job summary

Caliza is building a global hiring engine and is looking for a Recruiter, People Operations to own end-to-end hiring. You will run from outreach to first day, partnering with leaders to scale across engineering, compliance, sales and customer success in the US, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

You will manage Lever, define roles, build interview loops, close senior and technical candidates, and help establish people operations foundations as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of in-house recruiting at a high-growth startup.
• Experience hiring across multiple countries, including Latin America.
• Experience closing senior and technical candidates.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system (Lever preferred).
• Ability to run 10+ open roles simultaneously.
• Professional working fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
• Ability to work hours overlapping US Eastern and Brazil time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across every team: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, references and closing.
• Run Lever: job postings, pipelines, scorecards, reporting and hiring manager workflows.
• Partner with hiring managers to define roles, build structured interview loops and maintain a hiring bar.
• Source directly for hard-to-fill roles, including regulated compliance and regional sales roles in new markets.
• Manage offers within approved compensation bands, with Finance approvals.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding: docs, equipment, system access and first-week plans.
• Work with Risk and Compliance on employment agreements, contractor classification, background checks and cross-jurisdiction hiring.
• Build basics of people operations: HR systems, policies, onboarding playbooks, employee records.
• Report weekly to leadership on pipeline health and hiring progress.
