Job summary

Caliza is building a cross-border banking infrastructure and is expanding its People Operations team with a remote Recruiter. You will own end‑to‑end recruiting across engineering, compliance, sales and customer success in the US, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia, partnering with leaders to scale.

You’ll run Lever, define role requirements, and maintain a strong hiring bar while coordinating with Finance, Risk and Compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of in‑house recruiting at a high‑growth startup.
• Experience hiring across multiple countries, including Latin America.
• Proven track record closing senior and technical candidates.
• Hands‑on experience with an applicant tracking system, Lever preferred.
• The ability to run 10+ open roles concurrently while keeping candidates informed.
• Professional fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese a strong plus.
• Ability to work hours overlapping US Eastern and Brazil time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across every team: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, references and closing.
• Run Lever: job postings, pipelines, scorecards, reporting and hiring manager workflows.
• Partner with hiring managers to define each role, build structured interview loops and set a consistent hiring bar.
• Source directly for hard‑to‑fill roles, including regulated compliance and regional sales roles in new markets.
• Manage offers within approved compensation bands, working with Finance on approvals.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding: documentation, equipment, system access and first‑week plans.
• Work with Risk and Compliance on employment agreements, contractor classification, background checks and hiring across jurisdictions, including through employer‑of‑record providers.
• Build the basics of people operations as we scale: HR systems, policies, onboarding playbooks and employee records.
• Report weekly to the leadership team on pipeline health and progress against the hiring plan.
