Job summary

LUFKIN INDUSTRIES is seeking an HR Generalist for Corporate & Global Talent to support our corporate employees and lead global talent programs. This hands-on role partners with HR colleagues and leaders worldwide, owning performance management, engagement, talent reviews, and related systems.

The role is based in Missouri City, TX, with a mix of in-office and hybrid flexibility, and occasional travel. A Bachelor s degree is welcome; SHRM-CP/PHR certification is a plus, along with strong HR tech,

Qualifications

Approximately 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
Hands-on advisory experience for employees and managers.
Manufacturing, industrial, energy experience preferred.
Experience or strong interest in performance management, goal setting, employee engagement, talent review, succession planning, and development.
Strong aptitude for HR technology; quickly learn talent systems.
UKG experience preferred but not required; other HRIS experience valuable.
Strong organizational and project management skills; manage annual cycles.
Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.
Curiosity about AI tools to streamline HR work with confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication; discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary HR contact for LUFKINs Corporate employees.
Advise employees and managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, attendance, policy application, and workplace concerns.
Guide managers through performance improvement, corrective action, employee development, and other employee matters.
Conduct or assist with workplace investigations and elevate matters as appropriate.
Coordinate onboarding, organizational changes, and employee transitions.
Partner with HR colleagues on recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll, and other people initiatives.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-through on HR matters.
Use people data and trends to identify risks, opportunities, and practical solutions.
Lead the annual global performance review and goal-setting cycles from planning through completion.
Lead the annual employee engagement survey, including administration, communications, participation tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
Lead the annual talent review process, including planning, data collection, leadership materials, succession and development information, and action tracking.
Serve as the UKG superuser for talent-related modules and processes, including performance management, goals, and Employee Voice.
Configure and administer talent processes within UKG, troubleshoot issues, and help managers and HR colleagues effectively use the applicable functionality.
Maintain visibility to development priorities, succession needs, retention risks, and agreed-upon talent actions.
Prepare talent data, analysis, and presentations for leadership.
Develop practical tools, resources, and communications that help managers and employees navigate talent programs.
Partner with HR colleagues and leaders globally to drive consistent execution while recognizing local business needs.
Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, automate, and continuously improve LUFKINs talent processes and programs, including through the use of AI and system capabilities.
