GEODIS is seeking a Director of Business Development for Military & Defense to shape and drive the global strategy in this sector. You will partner with Region and Head Office to build a robust pipeline and win strategic opportunities across North America.

The role requires proven BD success, deep industry contacts, and over ten years in freight forwarding. Expect regional travel and leadership of a dedicated team focused on growth in defense logistics.

• Must be able to travel regionally due to global scope of role.
• Proven track record in developing business.
• Deep knowledge of target industries and markets.

Responsibilities

• Creates the global strategy for Military and Defense business with Region and Head Office.
• Develops and owns relationships with North American customers and collaborates with regional directors and global strategy partner.
• Leads value propositions and proposals for identified must-wins.
• Collaborates with Regions on budgets, opportunities and strategic requirements.
• Owns or supports RFIs and RFQs and ensures bids are completed.
• Develops growth for Military & Defense portfolio for own and existing accounts.
• Keeps updated on world events affecting defense needs.
• Leads a team created to build this business.
