Job summary

CHAOS Industries seeks a Sr. Space Planning Manager to own space planning across a global multi-site footprint of offices, labs, and manufacturing areas. You will translate headcount forecasts and program needs into capacity plans and test fits to guide Real Estate, Facilities, and Workplace decisions.

This cross-functional role partners with Real Estate, Construction, EHS, Security, IT, and site leaders. You will build space planning standards, analyze utilization data, and lead a growing team

Qualifications

• 8+ years of space planning, corporate real estate, workplace strategy, interior architecture, or facilities planning.
• Proficiency in space planning and drawing tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar, reading architectural drawings.
• Experience creating test fits, stacking plans, and capacity forecasts translating headcount growth into space requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with utilization data and dashboard-building in Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own space planning across the global portfolio: maintain floor plans and occupancy data; manage space allocation by team, program, and site.
• Forecast space needs against headcount, program, and manufacturing growth; translate into capacity plans for Real Estate decisions.
• Develop test fits, stacking plans, and layouts for new and existing sites with architects, engineers, and Construction.
• Define and maintain space standards: workstation types, meeting-room ratios, seating and occupancy standards, lab and manufacturing layouts.
• Collect and analyze utilization data and recommend changes to improve efficiency and reduce cost per seat.
• Plan and coordinate moves, adds, and changes with Facilities and Workplace to minimize disruption.
