Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Director of Global Space & Occupancy Planning to lead space management, occupancy planning, and workplace strategy for a large global client portfolio.

You will partner with Corporate Real Estate leadership, Facilities Management, Project Management, and regional teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions that improve employee experience and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years in Corporate Real Estate, Occupancy Planning, Workplace Strategy, Portfolio Planning, or Space Management.
• 5+ years of leadership managing regional or global teams.
• Experience leading occupancy planning programs within large, complex portfolios.
• Strong executive presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive strategic decision‑making.
• Advanced analytical skills translating data into business recommendations.
• Experience supporting hybrid workplace models and transformation initiatives.
• Expertise in occupancy analytics, utilization planning, demand forecasting, capacity modeling, and portfolio optimization.
• Experience with global enterprise clients with multi-region portfolios.
• Experience in professional services, technology, financial services, or knowledge-worker environments.
• CAFM/IWMS experience including Serraview, Archibus, TRIRIGA or similar.
• Familiarity with Power BI and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Space and Occupancy Planning across the client portfolio and align with workplace strategy and real estate investments.
• Develop occupancy strategies to optimize portfolio utilization, capacity, and space allocation.
• Advise leadership on trends, hybrid work, and future-state planning with executive storytelling.
• Establish global planning standards, governance, and reporting accuracy across portfolio.
• Direct utilization studies, demand forecasting, and scenario planning to identify optimization opportunities.
• Partner with leadership on workplace transformation, relocations, consolidations, and return-to-office initiatives.
• Manage a global team of space planners, occupancy planners, move managers, and workplace strategists.
