Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Commodity Manager to drive sourcing strategies for a defined business segment. You will lead a team or oversee Sourcing Agents to optimize total cost of ownership and supplier performance.

The role requires 8–10 years in sourcing, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, and proven contract negotiations with a global supplier base. Travel up to 30% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of sourcing experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with direct contract and price negotiations.
• Demonstrated past success in global sourcing and value analysis with external suppliers.
• Understanding of MRP Systems, specifically supply chain transactions and master data.
• Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

• Directs development, communication and implementation of commodity strategies on a global basis.
• Negotiate complex business agreements with a global supply base.
• Drive supplier readiness activities including capacity planning and lead-time validation.
• Lead RFQ processes, cost analysis, negotiations and supplier awards.
• Facilitate transition from development sourcing to production purchasing.
• Communicate changes in demand and material costs across teams.
• Manage issues related to flow, turn, EOQ, and obsolescence.
• Travel up to 30% to global facilities and suppliers.
