Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead sourcing strategy and supply base performance for a defined business segment within the division. The role may lead a team of Sourcing Agents and involves global negotiations, risk management, and ensuring alignment with Total Cost of Ownership goals.

You will identify suppliers, drive RFQ processes, and oversee production ramp-up, with travel up to 30%. Location can be Cary, NC or Erie, PA.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of sourcing experience.
• Experience with direct contract and price negotiations.
• Understanding of MRP Systems, specifically supply chain transactions and master data.
• Microsoft 360 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate and implement commodity strategies with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership, risk reduction and regional metrics.
• Negotiate complex contracts with a global supplier base and drive supplier RFQ processes.
• Lead supplier selection and award recommendations to support objectives.
• Manage supplier readiness, capacity planning, lead-time validation, and ramp-up support.
• Coordinate transition from development sourcing to production purchasing and ensure smooth handoff.
