Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Commodity Manager for the Parker Lord unit to lead strategic sourcing, critical supplier management and stakeholder collaboration for assigned commodities within the Industrial Business Unit. The role can be based in Erie, PA or Bowling Green, KY.

You will drive supplier strategy, manage key agreements, analyze spend, and partner with Procurement to achieve savings and performance targets while aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to lead projects.
• Ability to prioritize and allocate resources to align with goals.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Overall accountability for strategic sourcing and commodity strategy management to support business partner goals.
• Analyze commodity spend management opportunities and deploy strategic plans.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand initiatives and Supply Chain’s role.
• Manage critical supplier agreements including new sources and renewals.
• Negotiate high-level complex contracts and deliver results.
• Develop partnerships with key suppliers to achieve results.
• Conduct research on supply markets and commodity trends.
• Drive strategic sourcing and commodity plans to achieve savings and performance targets.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies and improve quality and TCO.
• Evaluate supplier performance and lead improvement teams as needed.
