Job summary

UpGuard is seeking a Director of Global Solutions Engineering to lead a global, two-part team of Sales Engineers and Solutions Consultants. You’ll own the technical win in pre-sales and manage post-sales escalation, while reporting to the CRO and aligning with revenue goals.

You will guide distributed managers, hire top talent, and shape a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, and strategic impact across the customer journey.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and leading a world-class Solutions/Sales Engineering team.
• Experience selling a technically complex product to engineers, security teams, and architects.
• Proven experience as a manager of managers leading distributed/global teams across multiple time zones.
• Ownership of technical experience across the customer journey: from pre-sales to post-sales and cross-sell.
• Hands-on disposition with credibility in high-stakes customer calls.
• Experience building or scaling RFP/security assessment functions and content.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global, multi-layered team of Sales Engineers and Solutions Consultants across regions; hire, coach and retain top talent.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales through demos, PoCs, discovery, and value engineering.
• Direct the post-sales technical escalation path and cross-sell across the product suite.
• Stay hands-on in high-stakes customer calls to set the technical bar.
• Elevate RFPs and security assessments with scalable, high-quality processes and reusable content.
• Enable and scale channel/partner ecosystems for independent product implementation.
• Collaborate with Enablement to design training, certifications, and competitive playbooks.
• Voice customer feedback to Product and Engineering for roadmap input.
• Operate as a revenue leader, contributing to forecasting and GTM strategy.
