Job summary

International in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Learning and Development Senior Specialist who designs and delivers learning experiences that grow people, strengthen leadership, and improve team performance. This role partners with leaders to build skills, behaviors, and the mindset needed to sustain a culture of continuous improvement.

You will lead onboarding, develop learning pathways, and support leadership development to accelerate readiness and drive operational excellence at the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of learning/development experience
• Master's degree and no experience
• At least 3 years of learning/development experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Identify workforce, leadership, and organizational capability gaps and develop learning solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Design, develop, facilitate, and continuously improve learning experiences that strengthen engagement and leadership capability.
• Lead site orientation, onboarding, and development programs to accelerate readiness and culture integration.
• Support leadership development experiences that strengthen accountability, coaching, and employee growth.
• Develop and maintain learning pathways, training plans, certifications, competency frameworks, and related systems.
• Collaborate with site leaders to promote adoption of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Build facilitator capability through coaching and train-the-trainer methods; create materials and aids for transfer.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness using feedback and metrics; implement improvements.
• Administer learning systems, training records, and reporting processes sitewide.
• Support communication and change adoption to translate learning into behavior change and business results.
