Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Security Manager to join our Global Security Operations team at 30 Rock in New York. This hands-on leadership role focuses on maintaining site safety for employees, guests, and audiences while guiding the guard force across tours.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security with supervisory experience, strong budgeting and incident-response skills, and a willingness to travel for remote shoots. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional security/military/law enforcement experience with executive level exposure.
• Experience coordinating strategies for large-scale event security.
• Experience in multi-agency, collaborative environments.
• Supervisory experience with staff or contractors.
• Budget management and vendor/consultant coordination with negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and real-time response capabilities.
• Willingness to be on call 24/7 for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee emergency evacuation procedures and threat assessments.
• Lead guard staff and manage forces up to twenty personnel during tours.
• Train guards across areas of responsibility and ensure standard procedures.
• Verify loading/unloading of live studio audiences adheres to standards.
• Plan and execute drills for crisis readiness.
• Assess and adjust security posture in real time.
• Ensure security devices and equipment are maintained and documented.
• Document incidents and initiate preliminary investigations.
• Serve as security point of contact during tours.
• Provide security escorts for talent off property and travel for remote shoots.
