Job summary

SoFi is seeking a Sanctions Advisor to provide second-line-of-defense compliance across SoFi Bank, SoFi Securities, and the platform. You will identify, mitigate, and manage global sanctions risks while aligning with evolving regulatory expectations.

You’ll collaborate with Compliance, product, and engineering teams, refine screening models, and draft analytical and governance materials for regulatory reviews and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of sanctions experience in a complex financial institution.
• Strong understanding of BaaS products and traditional banking services.
• Lead development of sanctions policies, risk appetites and governance.

Responsibilities

• Produce sanctions risk analyses and maintain an enterprise-wide inventory.
• Act as escalation point for sanctions investigations and guidance.
• Advise on product lifecycle related to sanctions compliance across units.
• Tune, test, and optimize name screening to minimize risk.
• Prepare materials for regulatory examinations and audits.
