Job summary

Goodwin seeks a strategic Director, Client Development to lead growth and market positioning for its Real Estate Industry platform. You will partner with leadership to shape go‑to‑market strategy, deepen client relationships, and drive revenue globally.

You will oversee a cross‑functional team, implement scalable processes, and translate market insight into commercial opportunity across key clients, REITs, and investment managers.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience within the real estate industry.
• Active involvement in real estate industry associations, conferences, and networks.
• Proven experience leading geographically dispersed teams within a complex environment.
• Knowledge of institutional real estate, investment lifecycle, and business drivers for REITs, investors, and developers.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior partners and leadership.
• Experience designing and executing growth initiatives translating market insight into opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate with attorneys and global operations to build and execute a strategic go-to-market plan.
• Develop and execute client plans targeting priority clients and cross-practice opportunities.
• Design client engagement forums, roundtables, and industry programs.
• Represent Goodwin in client meetings and industry events as a credible voice.
• Enable integration of lateral partners to grow client relationships.
• Leverage client feedback to inform growth strategy.
• Shape pitch materials and RFP responses to differentiate Goodwin’s Real Estate platform.
• Partner with Marketing to sharpen market narrative and visibility.
• Drive targeted campaigns, events, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Oversee rankings and awards activity to strengthen market recognition.
