Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is seeking an entry-level General Purchasing professional to support manufacturing operations. You will manage vendors, assist with inventory tracking, and interact with internal departments to forecast materials for product runs.

Responsibilities include placing orders, evaluating suppliers for best price and quality, preparing RFQs, and maintaining supplier data in ERP. Domestic and international travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Solid Excel and computer skills.
• Understanding of external market trends.
• Experience in General Purchasing.
• Domestic/international travel required.

Responsibilities

• Place orders with vendors according to planned manufacturing schedules.
• Research and evaluate vendors for best price, quality and availability.
• Ensure materials are purchased at the best price via cost analysis.
• Prepare and implement RFQs for general purchasing.
• Develop and manage the general purchasing supplier base and negotiate agreements.
• Maintain supplier quality and delivery performance; manage ERP data.
