Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America is seeking an entry-level purchasing professional to support supplier management, inventory forecasting, and cost analysis for production runs. You will handle RFQs, vendor evaluations, and data maintained in ERP systems to optimize spend and performance.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree and strong Excel skills, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (all majors).
• Strong Excel skills.
• Understanding of external markets and current trends.
• Experience in General Purchasing.
• Domestic / International travel required.

Responsibilities

• Place orders with vendors according to planned manufacturing schedules.
• Research and evaluate vendors to determine best price/quality and availability.
• Ensure materials are purchased at best possible price by analyzing vendors and costs.
• Prepare, report, and implement RFQ for general purchasing.
• Develop and manage supply base for General Purchasing products and services; negotiate spot purchases and long-term agreements.
• Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance.
• Maintain vendor and pricing data in ERP system.
