Job summary

Escalon Services, Inc. in Tampa is seeking an organized International Purchasing Assistant to join our on-site team.

This role supports overseas purchasing, tracks shipments, and coordinates with freight partners to ensure timely delivery of materials for residential and commercial projects, with collaboration across sales, warehouse, and accounting. The ideal candidate manages multiple PO orders, communicates with international suppliers in English, and maintains accurate documentation

Qualifications

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or international imports is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders, shipments, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Comfortable communicating with international suppliers and partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive, learn-and-grow mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and follow up on international purchase orders.
• Communicate with overseas suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor shipments and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Review and maintain purchasing, shipping, and import documentation.
• Track orders, shipments, and delivery dates in company systems.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Accounting on inventory and order status.
• Resolve purchasing discrepancies, shipping delays, and other issues.
• Maintain organized purchasing records and provide updates to teams.
• Support additional purchasing and logistics activities as needed.
