Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Counsel to support global sales and federal government contracting initiatives. You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial and public sector agreements, while guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with applicable FAR/DFARS terms.

The role requires a JD, active license, U.S. citizenship, and 4+ years of relevant law experience. Prior public sector contracting experience and a proactive negotiation style are highly valued.

Competenze

• Must have 4+ years of experience practicing law in private practice or in-house
• JD from ABA-accredited law school and license to practice in a relevant jurisdiction
• U.S. citizenship required; role supports U.S. government contracts with access restrictions
• Public sector contracting experience required, including software, SaaS, or cloud services to government customers
• FAR and agency supplements knowledge, including clause applicability/flow-downs to commercial items/services
• Strong written and oral English communication, clear contract drafting style, and readiness for negotiations
• Experience with commercial law, IP rights, privacy/data protection, and advising Sales personnel
• Active security clearance (or eligibility) is a plus

Mansioni

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating sales contracts and other commercial documents with customers/partners
• Reviewing teaming agreements, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, and proposals for public sector deals
• Negotiating federal, state, local, and education contracts direct and through resellers
• Advising global cross-functional and Legal Department partners on contract matters
• Applying Akamai's legal and business policies consistently
• Contributing to the Legal Department's overall performance and improvements
