Job summary

Akamai Legal is a highly-experienced global team supporting commercial and government contracts, shaping policy and protecting Akamai's assets across the globe.

As Counsel, you will draft, review and negotiate sales contracts and other commercial documents, review teaming and NDAs for public sector work, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to apply Akamai's policies and improve the department's performance.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school and bar admission in good standing.
• 4+ years of legal practice: technology/telecommunications clients or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
• Public sector contracting experience required.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS and contract flow-downs.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating sales contracts and other commercial documents.
• Reviewing teaming agreements, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, and proposals for public sector sales.
• Negotiating public sector contracts with federal, state, local, and education customers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional and Legal Department partners on contract matters.
• Applying Akamai's policies consistently.
• Participating in efforts to enhance the Legal Department's performance.
