Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking counsel to join the Global Legal team, advising on commercial and government contracting matters and supporting cross-functional partners across the business. Candidates will draft, review and negotiate sales and public sector agreements, ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, and help strengthen Akamai's contracting practices globally.

U.S. citizenship is required; a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and relevant experience in technology contracting are

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience practicing law in private practice/in-house, working with tech/telecom clients or equivalent
• U.S. citizenship is required for this role
• Public sector contracting experience required, including government software/SaaS/cloud services
• FAR/DFARS experience including clause flow-downs to commercial contracts
• Strong written and oral English communication and negotiation skills
• Experience with commercial law, IP rights, privacy/data protection, and supporting sales teams

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate sales contracts and other commercial documents with customers/partners
• Review teaming agreements, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, and proposal responses for public sector sales
• Negotiate public sector contracts with federal, state, local, and education customers (directly or via resellers)
• Collaborate with global cross-functional and Legal partners on contract matters
• Apply Akamai's legal and business policies consistently; contribute to improving the Legal Department's performance
