Job summary
AXA XL in New York is seeking an Actuarial Pricing Associate to join the North America Property actuarial pricing team. In this role, you will support various pricing-related activities and collaborate with teams across Actuarial, Underwriting, Operations, and Finance.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience in insurance pricing. You will work closely with underwriters, manage technical pricing, and develop efficient processes. AXA XL is committed to diversity and offers various employee benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics or related field.
- Experience with non-life insurance pricing preferably Property Pricing.
- Progress through actuarial exams with intention to qualify (iFoA or CAS).
- Strong coding experience in Python, R, and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with North American and European underwriters and management.
- Support rating algorithm reviews, development, testing, and maintenance.
- Provide guidance for effective use of pricing models.
- Design management information to assist underwriters.
