Job summary

AXA XL, part of the North America Property actuarial pricing team, is seeking an actuarial pricing professional to collaborate with underwriters, management and global actuaries. You will support pricing models, develop tools and communicate technical results across teams in North America and Europe.

The role emphasizes pricing accuracy, model governance, and continuous learning through actuarial exams, with opportunities to contribute to rate filings and profitability metrics.

Qualifications

• Non-life pricing experience, preferably property pricing.
• Bachelor degree in actuarial science, mathematics, applied math or statistics.
• Active actuarial exams with aim to qualify (IFOA or CAS).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong collaboration and project contribution mindset.
• Coding in Python, R and SQL for data analysis and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, operations and finance on pricing.
• Support rating algorithm reviews, testing, documentation and maintenance.
• Guide underwriters in pricing model usage and interpretation.
• Compute technical premiums and communicate results to underwriters.
• Produce management information to assist pricing decisions.
• Ensure efficiency of pricing processes and assist rate filings.
• Audit rate change metrics and profitability measures as needed.
• Report to a qualified actuary in the NA Property Pricing Team.
