Job summary

AXA XL in the United States is seeking a credentialed actuary to lead the Americas Property Pricing team for the Excess and Surplus Property portfolio. You will guide pricing strategy, collaborate across functions, and develop pricing models to drive profitability.

The role reports to the Head of Pricing, Americas Property Lines and Multinational Solutions, with primary location in Exton, PA, and flexibility for NYC, Boston, or Hartford. Strong pricing and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field.
• Qualification level – Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society.
• Material experience in Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving.
• Motivated, strategic thinker with a robust collaborative work ethic and a focus on quality and integrity.
• Advanced in and significant experience in Excel.
• Legally authorized to work in the posting country.

Responsibilities

• Pricing lead for the Excess and Surplus Property portfolio with pricing and profitability focus.
• Portfolio management activities including base loss ratio selection for planning, profitability studies and dashboard maintenance.
• Pricing tool data collection oversight, analysis, quality checking and reporting.
• Provide specialized training to underwriters on pricing matters.
• Develop, test, calibrate and maintain pricing models and complex rating algorithms.
