Job summary

AXA XL is seeking an actuarial pricing professional to join the North America Property pricing team. You will work with underwriters, actuaries, and finance across NA and Europe on account pricing, model support, and portfolio reporting for the Americas Middle Market.

You will contribute to pricing model reviews, provide guidance on model usage, and help produce management information to inform pricing decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, applied math, statistics or related field.
Progress toward actuarial qualification with intention to qualify (IFOA or CAS).
Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex topics clearly.
Coding experience in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and automation.
Strong collaboration and leadership potential, proactive and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with North American underwriters, management and senior actuaries across NA and Europe as part of a global team.
Support rating algorithm reviews, development, testing, documentation and maintenance.
Guide underwriters in effective use of pricing models.
Perform individual account pricing: calculate technical premiums and key metrics for underwriters.
Produce management information to assist underwriters and leadership.
Ensure efficiency of pricing processes.
Assist in rate filings as needed.
Audit and challenge rate changes and profitability metrics recorded.
