Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Global AWS Product Lifecycle Engineer with hands-on design, manufacturing and installation experience of electrical products. You will own the product through its lifecycle and collaborate with the product development team to understand all facets as they develop and test, then take engineering ownership through operation at data centers.

You will be the go‑to engineering resource for AWS electrical products deployed globally, with intermittent travel

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years developing electrical and/or electronics products and launching them into production.
5+ years with systems or components including wiring, connectors, relays, circuit breakers, switchgear and/or transformers.

Responsibilities

Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
Work with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
Build trust and relationships with stakeholders (reliability, operations, design, compliance).
Work on concurrent projects, in multiple geographic zones.
Explain complex systems in clear and concise language.
Provide Field Engineering support for root cause analysis and investigations.
Collaborate with quality team for component-level investigations, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Listen to customer feedback to improve product reliability or availability.
Design product improvements with global suppliers and oversee root cause analysis.
