Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Global AWS Product Lifecycle Engineer to own electrical product lifecycle from development through operation in AWS data centers.

You will collaborate with product teams to understand all facets of each product during development and testing, and hold engineering ownership through its life cycle. You will work with field engineering for root cause analysis, support multiple geographic zones, and engage with suppliers to drive improvements while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years developing electrical and/or electronics products.
• 5+ years with systems or components including wiring, connectors, relays, circuit breakers, switchgear and/or transformers.

Responsibilities

• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
• Work with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Build trust and relationships with stakeholders (reliability, operations, design, compliance).
• Work on concurrent projects, in multiple geographic zones.
• Understand and explain complex systems in clear language.
• Provide support to Field Engineering for root cause analysis and collaboration with quality.
• Listen to customer needs to improve product reliability or availability.
• Collaborate with global suppliers to design product improvements and oversee root cause analyses.
• Contribute to our global knowledge base and drive continuous improvement at a global scale.
