Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in San Diego is seeking a senior procurement leader to manage strategic sourcing, planning, and supplier contracts in a GMP environment. You will build and lead a high-performance team, drive cost savings, and align procurement with corporate objectives while ensuring compliance with EHS and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates hold an MBA or equivalent, 10+ years in procurement, and membership in professional bodies.

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent MA degree (preferred)
• 10+ years related experience in procurement/supply chain
• 5+ years of experience in GMP environments
• Ability to think strategically and align procurement to business objectives
• Knowledge of Category Management, Collaborative Procurement and Strategic sourcing

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic sourcing across planning, purchasing, materials specification, logistics and supplier contracts
• Develop and lead a high-performance procurement team
• Establish high performance standards and drive improvement to reduce variances and increase efficiency
• Train team to work with Sales to resolve roadblocks in logistics and materials
• Negotiate supplier contracts to obtain best price and value
• Build partnerships with department heads to drive business objectives
• Manage cost savings and performance measurement for supplier contracts
• Track and report cost savings against investments and contract spend
• Ensure reporting procedures meet Finance, Legal, Procurement and Compliance needs
• Foster a safe, environmentally sustainable workplace in compliance with PCI EHS policies
