Solutus Legal Search is exclusively engaged to assist a fast-growing private cloud company with real-time analytics in hiring an Associate General Counsel, Privacy. The role owns the global privacy program, partnering with Security, GRC, and product teams to design scalable, privacy-by-design solutions.

You will lead DPIAs, data inventories, and transfer mechanisms, while advising on GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and cross-border data flows, with an emphasis on practical business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience advising on privacy and data protection across product lifecycles.
• In-house SaaS or tech sector background with data infrastructure is preferred.
• Strong communication and business-oriented legal advice.
• US state bar admission in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Own the global privacy program and advise on domestic and international laws including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA/CPRA.
• Lead data subject rights processes and DPIAs; manage vendor/subprocessor diligence.
• Scale privacy governance: records of processing, data inventories, DPIAs, and notices.
• Integrate privacy-by-design into product and engineering decisions; advise on cross-border data transfers.
• Negotiate privacy and security terms in customer and vendor agreements; manage outside counsel and budgets.
• Partner with Security and GRC; support incident response, audits, and regulatory reporting.
