Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a PMO Program Manager to govern a multi-SME technology and capital portfolio across a US plant network. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership at the factory floor, direct collaboration with finance on ROI, and a unified governance framework to fund and execute initiatives.

You will lead stage-gate processes, consolidate capital plans, and drive real value delivery through modern digital PMO tools and live dashboards, working with nine SMEs and plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• PMP or equivalent program/project management certification.
• Experience building/running PMO or portfolio governance from ground up.
• Experience managing multi-site capital portfolios across geographies.
• Experience with stage-gate or prioritization frameworks across technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on engagement with factory leadership and technical SMEs, not just reports.

Responsibilities

• Establish portfolio governance charter, RACI, and steering cadence with VP and plant leadership.
• Consolidate master technology and capital roadmap across nine SMEs.
• Define and pilot a standard prioritization framework and stage-gate process.
• Own capital planning templates and ROI standards; track benefits realization.
• Maintain digital PMO platforms and real-time status dashboards; manage RAID log and escalation paths.
• Spend majority of time at factory sites with SMEs, driving governance into execution.
