Job summary

Network Optix, headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a People Operations Manager to own end-to-end HR processes for a globally distributed tech company. You will manage onboarding through offboarding, compliance, culture, and engagement, and leverage data to drive improvements across 36 countries.

The role demands 5+ years in HR/People Ops, strong HRIS experience, and a builder mindset. Hybrid work and global mobility support are offered.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive HR / People Operations experience, including time operating as a senior IC.
Strong generalist background: onboarding and offboarding, open enrollment, HR dashboards, employee experience, and compliance.
Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, reporting and dashboards.
Ability to turn raw HR data into actionable insights using Excel/Sheets or BI tools.
Knowledge of employment contracts, payroll, benefits, contractor, and immigration requirements.
Confidence using AI tools (Claude, Gemini, or similar).
Builder mindset with ambiguity, structure when needed, and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

Own the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, records, HRIS) as one coherent process.
Develop and improve new hire orientation program.
Maintain accurate records in BambooHR, run data audits, optimize the HRIS usage.
Identify and close process gaps before compliance or experience issues arise.
Serve as primary escalation point for operational HR questions across locations.
Be a trusted partner for employees on policies, benefits, and programs.
Lead consolidation of HR systems and oversee implementation when moving forward.
Build and maintain people metrics (headcount, turnover, engagement, compliance).
Flag risks such as attrition or engagement dips and propose corrective actions.
Ensure ongoing compliance across US, EU, Serbia, and contractor-based markets.
