Job summary

Apex Group Ltd in Burlingame, CA, seeks an experienced fund accounting professional to oversee client accounting and reporting for Private Equity funds. You will coordinate with global teams, prepare financial statements, and manage month-end processes.

You will strengthen internal controls, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while leveraging Excel and accounting software. A collaborative, results-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in accounting or finance or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
• At least one year in a supervisory position.
• CPA or MBA a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and strong accounting, finance and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Energetic, flexible team player with ability to multi-task and juggle priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist in fund accounting and client service for Private Equity fund administration clients.
• Coordinate with global teams for client work and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain financial records and GAAP-compliant statements.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Maintain ledgers, bank reconciliations, and tax reports.
• Establish internal controls, policies, and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Manage cash flow activities and fund transfers.
• Review financing provisions in loan agreements for contractual compliance.
• Oversee payroll processing and compliance.
• Develop relationships with vendors, banks, auditors and stakeholders.
• Supervise accounting staff and provide mentorship.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and tax activities with required documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
• Lead special projects and ad hoc financial analyses.
