Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager – Technology Lead Consultant for EY Global Payroll Operate (GPO) in the US. This client-facing tech lead role guides payroll tech implementations across the GPO ecosystem, coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with global standards.

The role emphasizes translating business needs into technical design, leading workshops, and delivering end-to-end technology solutions using DigiPay, PCC, and integration components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Business/Engineering/MIS/HR or related field.
• Experience with global payroll platforms, HR tech ecosystems, or managed payroll services.
• Approved technical certification is required.
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with DigiPay, Payroll Command Centre, workflow-based solutions, and integrations.
• Experience with configuration, development, data migration, testing, or integration teams.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• SAP US payroll implementation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technology contact for GPO during the implementation lifecycle.
• Lead client workshops and design discussions to gather and validate requirements.
• Explain GPO capabilities, constraints, and delivery expectations to stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into design documentation for GPO tools (DigiPay, PCC, workflows).
• Ensure solutions align with GPO standards and client needs.
• Coordinate with the Technology Configurator on requirements and design intent.
• Support end-to-end delivery with data migration, testing, payroll, product, and implementation teams.
• Monitor progress, risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as needed.
• Maintain documentation of requirements, decisions, and validations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of GPO tech methodologies and assets.
