Job summary

Avetta, headquartered in Lehi, Utah, seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage US and international payroll. The role rewards strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and teamwork under deadlines.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, based at Avetta’s headquarters in Lehi. The successful candidate will process semi-monthly US/Canada payroll and monthly payroll for India, New Zealand and UK, and biweekly payroll for Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Preferred 1 year of payroll experience.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and analyses related to payroll expenditures and trends.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in closing out payroll by resolving timecard exceptions and time off approvals.
• Review HRIS/payroll updates to ensure accuracy.
• Process semi-monthly payroll for US & Canada.
• Process monthly payroll for India, New Zealand, and UK.
• Process biweekly/fortnightly payroll for Australia.
• Set up new states in payroll system for taxation.
• Review and reconcile benefit bills against payroll deductions.
• Reconcile and fund 401K/HSA/FSA tax and pension payments.
• Validate compliance in PTO and tax reporting for all regions.
• Assist with payroll software implementations.
