Job summary

Protingent is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to manage payroll across multiple states, including remote workers and international UK benefits where applicable. The role demands accuracy, confidentiality, and strong collaboration with HR and finance teams.

You will process bi-weekly payroll, support year-end activities, and coordinate benefits with brokers, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is a full-time role based in Bellevue, WA.

Qualifications

• A four-year BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Business.
• At least seven years of payroll administration experience including benefits.
• Experience with processing multi-state payroll.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and payroll systems (ADP, Oracle Fusion).
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll administrations across multiple business segments and ensure compliance for remote workers across various states.
• Process international payroll/benefits in the UK as applicable.
• Handle multi-state payroll taxes, remittances, and year-end filings with accuracy.
• Assist with benefits administration and leave processing.
• Coordinate with vendors and benefits broker on claims and adjustments.
• Perform payroll/benefits reconciliation and internal audits to ensure data integrity.
