Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is seeking a Payroll Administrator in Houston for the Global Compensation and Payroll team, supporting HR, Finance, and operations across the U.S. and Canada.

The role handles semi-monthly and weekly cycles for about 1,000 employees, ensures accurate taxes, garnishments, and compliance, and partners with HR and Finance to keep payroll data current. Hybrid work is available and adds exposure to large multi-country payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment.
• Hands-on experience with UKG Payroll is required.
• Experience with Workday HRIS and payroll integrations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, compliance, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Admin, or HR, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process and oversee payroll for approximately 1,000 employees across the U.S. and Canada, including semi‑monthly and weekly payroll cycles.
• Ensure payroll transactions, taxes, garnishments, and wage attachments are processed accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Audit, reconcile, and maintain payroll records while resolving payroll discrepancies with minimal supervision.
• Partner closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll updates related to hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
• Support payroll audits, year‑end activities, payroll system testing, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
