Qualifications

• 7+ years of payroll experience in multi-state environments.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is required.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables; GAAP awareness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely biweekly payroll for 500+ employees across multiple states, including hourly, salaried, and contract workers.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.
• Process and verify deductions for benefits, garnishments, and retirement contributions.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll-related journal entries, bonus accruals, and general ledger postings.
• Support state sales tax filings and quarterly/annual filings (Forms 941, 940, W-2, 1099) and payroll audits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate data integration with HR and accounting systems.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting to support payroll adjustments, onboarding, and compliance documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within payroll operations.
