Job summary

Mastercam is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team, handling payroll processing for the United States and Canada with a focus on accuracy and compliance. The role partners with HR, employees, and external providers to ensure a reliable payroll experience in a dynamic environment.

The position requires 5+ years of payroll experience (multi-state US; Canadian payroll preferred), strong data integrity, and proficiency with HRIS and payroll platforms such as ADP.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience (U.S.); Canadian payroll experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in payroll platforms and HRIS; strong data integrity and reporting skills.
  • CPP/PCP or comparable credential is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain payroll details clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Process regular and off-cycle payrolls for U.S. and Canada accurately and on time.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies; escalate issues to management when needed.
  • Load approved HR files for benefits, changes, and inputs; ensure data accuracy.
  • Respond to payroll questions and provide service within defined SLAs.
  • Coordinate payments for contractors via external payroll providers when applicable.
  • Prepare year-end tax reporting and support reconciliations and filings.
