Job summary

The Manager of Payroll Operations at Becton, Dickinson, and Company oversees a centralized payroll team delivering multi-state payroll in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. You will lead a forward-thinking payroll function, optimize processes, and ensure compliant, timely pay and tax reporting across regions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with offshore teams, educating client groups on policy changes, and partnering with regional leaders to align payroll programs with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience running payroll.
• 5+ years of experience handling multi-entity and multi-country payroll.
• Working knowledge of payroll regulations related to taxes, benefits, and stock vesting.

Responsibilities

• Partners with outsourced off-shore team to ensure tasks are completed; assist with complex payroll issues.
• Demonstrates ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate with key stakeholders.
• Prepares, communicates, and educates client groups and team on changes in payroll policies and practices.
• Applicates knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles to cross-functional projects and activities.
• Consults with business leaders to establish payroll approaches aligned with company policies and objectives.
• Ensures associates are paid on time and that deductions and returns are filed on time.
• Oversees payroll process improvements, tax reporting, and record retention.
• Provides coaching and leadership to outsourced team members.
