Job summary

Gartner Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage complex, global payroll operations and serve as a subject-matter expert within the payroll organization. You will partner with payroll service providers, HR, and Finance to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across countries.

In this role, you will drive process improvements, lead audits and controls, and mentor payroll team members while maintaining strong data integrity in Workday and other HRIS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred.
• CPP, FPC, or equivalent payroll certification preferred.
• Experience with multi-country/global payroll operations and outsourced providers.
• Strong Excel skills with payroll analysis and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve complex payrolls across multiple countries and entities, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements.
• Coordinate payroll activities with managed service providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
• Process and review off-cycle payments such as bonuses, commissions, severance, and retroactive adjustments.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll legislation, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in assigned countries.
