Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Oversight Lead for International Payments within Consumer 2LOD Risk Management. You will oversee cross-border payments, including wires and blockchain transactions, identifying risks and implementing controls to safeguard the bank and its customers.

The role requires deep knowledge of international payment systems, regulatory landscapes, and the ability to communicate risk insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of risk management experience in payments/financial services with international exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Strong understanding of international payment systems (Swift, remittances, real-time payments) and digital asset protocols.

Responsibilities

• Look for ways payment use cases can potentially facilitate fraud and scam scenarios, as well as operational and reputational risk.
• Evaluate new payment features or modifications to existing services to ensure risks are identified and controls to mitigate risks are included.
• Know the international payment flows you oversee as well as the Product team.
• Have working knowledge of cross-border controls used to mitigate risk in Digital and Blockchain.
• Collaborate with the business to solve problems but escalate within the risk management framework when the business exposes the bank to risk in an unsafe way.
• Work effectively as an individual contributor and as a team member on simultaneous projects.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and interact professionally with executives and subject matter experts.
• Deconstruct and explain complex concepts to senior/executive management in business-friendly terms.
