Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior leader to own internal control discipline and testing governance within the Global Payment Operations (GPO). You will design and implement a comprehensive Quality Control program, monitor controls, and drive remediation with cross-functional partners.

You will guide readiness for Operations Risk 2.0, coordinate with Risk, Audit, and regulators, and lead a team responsible for testing excellence across GPO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Audit, Compliance, or Risk function of a large financial services company.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, establish strategic direction, and build a function, operating model, and team from the ground up.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale control, testing, risk, or operating model transformation initiatives across multiple business groups.
• Strategic, logical, and creative thinker with ability to craft messaging for senior management.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with a strong ability to collaborate, partner, and influence.
• Experience or proven ability to build and modify process design for ongoing process improvement.
• Effective project manager who can lead and execute with a positive, energetic attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with leadership, Risk, and Audit.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the current-state testing landscape and establishes the future-state Quality Control function, including governance and capability development.
• Designs and executes the GPO Quality Control strategy, including governance and continuous improvement of the testing program.
• Leads organizational change to implement the target-state testing strategy across FLUs, Risk, Audit, and EIT.
• Conducts a comprehensive assessment of existing testing activities to identify gaps and efficiency improvements.
• Defines testing standards, methodologies, and governance requirements, including risk-based approaches.
• Leads the development and maintenance of a centralized GPO testing inventory and ownership.
• Oversees readiness for Operations Risk 2.0 with testing ownership alignment.
• Drives rationalization of testing activities while strengthening risk coverage.
• Oversees timely execution of monitoring and testing activities and reporting.
• Identifies weaknesses and recommends remediation actions to strengthen the control environment.
• Leads testing-related enhancements across GPO with Process Management and Issue Management coordination.
• Establishes reporting routines to provide leadership with transparency into testing coverage and risks.
• Assesses design and effectiveness of risk and control environment to support Client Operations Services.
• Performs monitoring and testing of controls and drives remediation actions.
• Manages performance and productivity of team members conducting quality inspection reviews.
• Ensures accuracy of data for inspection metrics and dashboard reporting.
