Job summary

Amcor is seeking a skilled engineer to manage complex capital projects related to PET preforms and rigid containers. You will oversee multiple projects across sites from concept to qualification, ensuring productivity, timing, and budget alignment.

Responsibilities include BOM creation, safety and environmental scope, feasibility refinement, and plant infrastructure reviews. Expect ~60% travel and a role focused on cost reduction and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Seven years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging.
• Experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
• Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support capital budgeting.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are in the project scope.
• Refine feasibility studies into actionable project plans with cost/timing targets.
• Review plant infrastructure and plan upgrades or expansions.
• Analyze equipment performance, cost, and workflows.
• Communicate project status and resolve issues; publish weekly reports.
• Develop division-level technical specifications and documentation.
• Regularly liaise with plants to monitor long-term performance.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Travel ~60%.
