Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced engineer to manage complex capital projects tied to PET preforms and rigid containers manufacturing. You will review new products from a manufacturing perspective and oversee multiple projects across sites from concept to qualification, ensuring productivity, timing, and budget adherence.

This role also supports cost-reduction initiatives. Responsibilities include BOM creation, feasibility refinement with regional leadership, and maintaining division-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum of seven years engineering experience in the plastics packaging industry.
• Seven years of project management experience.
• Experience with plant layouts and infrastructure equipment.
• Experience with SPC.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are included in project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into an action plan meeting cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure, layout and equipment against project requirements.
• Develop and manage upgrades and expansion plans.
• Analyze performance and cost of equipment, tooling and workflows.
• Communicate and resolve technical, timing and budget issues; publish weekly status reports.
• Create and maintain division-level technical specifications and documentation.
• Regularly communicate with plants to understand long-term project performance.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Travel ~60%.
