Job summary

Amcor is seeking a seasoned Engineer to manage complex capital projects related to PET preforms and rigid containers. Lead project scopes across multiple sites from conception to qualification, ensuring productivity, timing, and budget adherence.

Support cost-reduction initiatives within manufacturing locations. Responsibilities include BOM creation, safety/compliance integration, feasibility refinement, infrastructure reviews, and vendor/workflow analysis.

Qualifications

Seven+ years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging.
Experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
Strong communication and influencing abilities.
Experience supervising direct reports.
Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support capital appropriation.
Ensure safety and environmental requirements are integrated into project scope and budget.
Refine feasibility studies into action plans with cost and timing criteria.
Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements; plan upgrades/expansion.
Evaluate performance and cost of new or existing equipment (machinery, tooling, workflow).
Communicate and resolve technical, timing, and budget issues; publish weekly status reports.
Create and maintain division-level technical specifications and documentation.
Coordinate with plants regularly to understand long-term project performance.
Review CEAV requests for accuracy and standards compliance.
Travel ~60%.
