Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead complex capital projects for PET preforms and rigid containers. You will oversee multiple projects across sites from conception to qualification, ensuring productivity, timing, and budget objectives are met, while supporting cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience in the plastics packaging industry, including project management.
• Experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
• Strong communication of technical information and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are incorporated into project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into action plans meeting cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure, layout and equipment against project requirements; plan upgrades and expansions.
• Analyze performance and cost of equipment; evaluate machinery, tooling, and workflows.
• Publish weekly project status reports; maintain division level specifications and documentation.
• Communicate with plants to monitor long term project performance and resolve issues.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Travel approximately 60%.
